About the Speaker:
Dr Praveen is posted as Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade in DGFT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. He is a member of the Indian Trade Service cadre, a Group "A" service under the umbrella of IAS Allied Services. His current role involves formulation of Foreign Trade Policy and ensuring its correct implementation particularly for schemes such as the RoDTEP Scheme with an annual budget of about 13,000 Cr. He has done his MBBS from Delhi University. After a couple of years in healthcare consulting in Capgemini Invent, he decided to opt for civil services and has been in the Government service since 2012.
