Milkvilla: Startup Journey and Vision.

The Praktani Adda by Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith alumnus Aman Jee is an anecdote for how patience, perseverance and piety can provide beautiful results. The 26th session of the Praktani Adda delivers extensive guidance about how the entrepreneurial journey needs to be planned and the role of technology in tackling the toughest of challenges.

Amanjee, who started early in his career, is an entrepreneur with a cause. The moderator of this session, Prince Anand, provided us a peep into his convictions since school days about creating an inclusive society and building a better future for generations to come.

Aman, a 2016 alumnus of Vidyapith, is pursuing Electrical engineering at IIT Patna. In his sophomore year, he started contributing to the Milkvilla – a unique milk collection and distribution startup initiated by his elder brother. Now in his final year of B Tech, Aman is still involved with the project and has contributed and learned immensely during the journey.

During the Adda, we see how his startup is working towards achieving these goals by building a robust hyperlocal collection and distribution chain for dairy products. The startup aims to bring the goodness of fresh milk to each doorstep and reduce the use of single-use plastics to cut down on environmental pollution.

Aman Jee joined his elder brother Mannu Jee Founder of Milkvilla, driven by passion. While at IIT, Aman Jee started building technology that would support his brother’s venture that empowers local farmers who depend on milk as an allied business by connecting them with potential customers, thereby improving their daily income.

The brothers who have spent a good deal of their childhood in villages were exposed to the challenges faced by farmers early on in their lives. They started Milkvilla as a village-based farmer’s enterprise run and managed with the sole purpose of bringing natural taste, freshness, and aroma of milk to the community. Amanjee shared Milkvilla’s startup journey, the challenges, the learnings and how this unique idea contributes to the well-being of the milk producers, suppliers and customers.

During the Adda Aman Jee, who, along with his elder brother, wants to expand his business based on a franchise model, received helpful advice from the senior Praktani brothers. Overall the session witnessed a healthy discussion revolving around entrepreneurship with a cause.
